Emily Royce, CADC, North Carolina
I am a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor, CADC, North Carolina under the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board. With over ten years of lived experience in long term recovery from alcoholism and addiction, I bring both deep personal understanding and clinical rigor to my work. My own healing journey led me into and keeps me rooted in this work, because I believe that authenticity and measured self disclosure are essential ingredients in helping others heal. I believe we heal in order to help others heal.
My approach is relentlessly solution focused and grounded in real life. I have developed a high level of expertise in substance use disorders, and I am committed to using that knowledge to guide clients toward concrete steps of recovery. Known for my ability to establish genuine rapport, I integrate evidence based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relapse prevention, and supportive counseling with a boots on the ground ethos rooted in presence, accountability, and compassion.
Rather than offering one size fits all fixes, I walk alongside each person I work with, tailoring my support to their unique strengths, challenges, and goals. For me, this is more than a vocation — it is a mission: to embody authenticity, resilience, and hope in the service of transformation.
